I’m sorry for posting this, it’s just I always see pictures on here of girls with flowers drawn around their cuts or pictures of blood in the shape of hearts or people rebloging pictures of scars and saying “I don’t support self harm but for some reason this looks really beautiful” and it really fucking annoys me
self harm is a real problem faced by real people, you may not be meaning to but posts like those mentioned glamorise it and trivialise it and its just not right.

i think its tragically beautiful..not the actual cuts the meaning behind them..the way someone can be so said or blame themselves so much they slice their skin, it shows how sad someone can really be. To me these pictures show how serious self harm is…i find that tragically beautiful.

I give the appropriator and the appropriated the opportunity to defend themselves and create a dialogue between them, while maintaining a neutral stance myself. Neutrality is key in this series, as i remove myself from my political and social status and opinions, stripping the problem to the most basic issue; taking an item that means a great deal to somebody and corrupting it.
“I love my friends” I say as I actively ignore them and all of their ploys to get me to talk to them or hang out.
